Mike Roe Aggression is the small angry weirdo from the mind of Miles “Spike” Harris V. He enjoys finding whimsy in the uncanny and uses painterly textures and goofy fabrics. He wants the balance between the grief and the happiness that he experiences in his life to be expressed in his work. Most of his creative skills: costume design and creation; painting; water coloring; clown performing; sewing plush/puppets; and illustration, started out form passion and research. Having move around a lot at a young age, he used the act of creating to ground himself in something stimulating and stable, but also messy and chaotic.

From a young age, he had a strong interest in horror stories with a focus on mental health and generational family trauma. He grew up watching 2010s western children’s cartoons with an expressive and round-shape-based illustration style like Gravity Falls and Over the Garden Wall. He also takes inspiration from stop motion films by Henry Selick and video games and books by Yugo Limbo.

As Mike Roe, he hopes to add trans whimsy and political awareness with both his skills and advice from the drag artists that he had met.
